He has spent so much time doing volunteer work for a long time – building handicap ramps and decks for those in need. I believe he’s done this for 7-10 years now. He also coaches youth sports programs and I have no doubt, he impacts those young people in a positive way. Beyond managing tasks, D’Alexzander fostered a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration across departments. He was always willing to step in, provide guidance, and share knowledge with others, helping the entire team succeed. His proactive communication and solution-driven mindset made a significant difference in the successful lift-off of the Genera PR project. Standing Down for Safety: Highlights from National Safety Stand-Down Week

Each year, OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down Week gives the construction industry a powerful opportunity to pause, reflect, and re-engage on the importance of preventing falls—the leading cause of fatalities on construction sites. At LEMOINE, safety isn’t just a requirement—it’s a shared value and a daily commitment. This year, our team embraced the spirit of Stand-Down Week with energy, purpose, and statewide participation.

Statewide Site Visits and Engagement

Our Safety Team traveled across Louisiana to conduct in-person Stand-Downs at several of our active project sites, including:

Each event centered around fall protection awareness and included live demonstrations, hands-on training, and meaningful discussions with our crews. These conversations focused on best practices, real-life hazards, and how each team member can take ownership of safety on their jobsite.

Raffles, Lunches, and Vendor Support

A major highlight at each location was the crew appreciation component made possible by our incredible vendor partners. Lunches were generously provided at every Stand-Down event, giving our teams a chance to gather, recharge, and connect.

In addition, raffles were held at each site, offering crew members a chance to win tools, electronics, coolers, safety gear, and more—all donated by our vendors. These giveaways not only added excitement to the events, but also helped reinforce the value we place on investing in our people and their well-being.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our vendor partners who supported this initiative. Your contributions—whether through donated items, food, or your physical presence—elevated every event and made a real impact on our teams.

A Significant Milestone

As we step into the new year, LEMOINE proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary — a significant milestone that honors our rich history, enduring values, and vision for the future. Founded in 1975, LEMOINE began as the dream of two brothers, Tim and Lenny Lemoine, who were inspired by their upbringing at the Cottonport Lumber Company, a retail lumber yard established in 1935 by their father, Lewis L. “Hoss” Lemoine, in Cottonport, Louisiana. Driven by ambition and a passion for commercial construction, the brothers sold the retail lumber yard assets and relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana, seeking new opportunities.

Through hard work, resilience, and relationship-building in a demanding industry, Tim and Lenny steadily grew the business. By 1985, their efforts led to geographic expansion with a regional focus from San Antonio to Atlanta, reaching annual revenues just shy of $50 million. This period of growth set the foundation for LEMOINE’s continued success.

A pivotal leadership transition occurred in 1999 when Lenny Lemoine assumed the role of CEO, a position he continues to hold today. Under Lenny’s leadership, the company placed a heightened focus on training and organizational development, driven by his belief that “building better people” would result in “building better buildings.” This philosophy fueled sustained growth from 2009 to 2020, with annual revenues surpassing $300 million.

In 2020, LEMOINE’s trajectory accelerated further with a significant investment from BCP. This partnership enabled the expansion of LEMOINE’s service lines to include comprehensive disaster, project, and program services. With this evolution, LEMOINE solidified its position as a leader in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) and Disaster Services sectors.

LEMOINE Disaster Services achieved a monumental milestone in 2024 through a long-term housing project in Louisiana. Setting out with the ambitious goal of completing 750 homes, our dedicated team exceeded expectations by restoring more than 900 properties. This achievement reflects the relentless commitment and hard work of our team members, whose efforts have brought hope and stability to countless families.

The impact of this work goes beyond physical structures — it restores a sense of normalcy and provides a foundation for brighter futures. We’re proud to play a role in Louisiana’s continued recovery, supporting communities in their journey toward resilience and renewal.

LEMOINE Infrastructure continued to strengthen its core market services in Civil, Public Works, and Concrete throughout 2024, delivering exceptional results on over 35 projects totaling more than $205 million. Notable Projects include Laurel Ridge Levee Extension, Belle Chasse Water Treatment Plant Intake Pump Station, and Ampirical – Cleco Caneland Substation.

LEMOINE Infrastructure was also honored to receive its first Excellence in Construction Awards from both the ABC Bayou and ABC Pelican Chapters for the outstanding execution of the Taxiway F Phase III project at the Lafayette Regional Airport. These accomplishments reflect LEMOINE Infrastructure’s unwavering commitment to excellence in every project.
DCMC
DCMC Partners, a LEMOINE Company, continued to support and expand its service offerings, supporting communities and organizations in recovery and resiliency efforts across the United States and Puerto Rico. DCMC was selected to support recovery and project management efforts for all of Puerto Rico’s power generation services across the islands as part of Genera PR. 

Following this year’s dramatic hurricane season, including the devastating impacts from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, DCMC has played an instrumental role in assisting communities and utilities across Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina recover from and rebuild more resilient organizations that are better prepared for future disasters.
Macro, a LEMOINE Company
In 2024, Macro, a LEMOINE Company, responded to a wide range of disasters, including winter storms, potable water crises, wildfires, and one of the busiest hurricane seasons the Gulf Coast has ever faced. With an expansion of their fleet to over 110 potable water tankers, Macro has emerged as the nation’s leading emergency potable water provider.

The deployments for Hurricanes Helene and Milton marked the largest disaster response in Macro’s history, with unprecedented levels of equipment and personnel mobilized from Florida to North Carolina. Through these efforts, Macro demonstrated unmatched resilience, efficiency, and commitment to providing life-saving fuel and water to communities in need.
LEMOINE Program Services
LEMOINE Program Services, the firm’s comprehensive project and program management division, continued to grow its team, expand service offerings, and broaden its reach across the United States. In 2024, our expert program management staff delivered vital support on notable projects, including: The Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex Amphitheater (pictured), Henan Drummond Center of Innovation, and the University of Alabama BioMed and Psychology Building.

As part of this growth, LEMOINE Program Services established new offices in Madison, Mississippi, and Mobile, Alabama, strengthening our presence in the Gulf Coast region and enhancing our ability to serve clients with localized expertise and accessible support.
Looking ahead to 2025, this key division is poised for continued growth, partnering with owners across various industries to successfully execute critical projects.

This year, The Workforce Group, a LEMOINE Company, has provided ongoing program management support for long-term CDBG-DR and FEMA IA recovery programs in Louisiana and Georgia. Workforce Group also provided 500+ personnel across Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina in response to Hurricane’s Helene and Milton.

Our team supported shelter management, program management, debris management, inspections, logistical support, and staff augmentation in over 70 individual project locations across five states.

Work ethic and attention to detail- I’ve had the opportunity to work with Eric on a few different matters over the last year or so.  He’s professional, responsive and when I’ve had to go back to the project file on a dispute to locate back-up for our position, it’s evident that he lives out these two core values on a day-to-day basis.  He’s committed to our process and diligent about documenting when issues arise on his projects.  In addition to his normal responsibilities, he’s done a great job of helping to coordinate and lead training initiatives for the PM meetings.  

I would like to nominate Eric S. for embodying the core value of Attention to Detail. During my time here at Lemoine, I’ve been consistently impressed by Eric’s unwavering focus and ability to dive into even the minutest tasks. His dedication ensures that nothing slips through the cracks. It’s easy to lose sight of those smaller details, but Eric’s diligence serves as a reminder that they are just as crucial as the larger aspects of any project.

Jenn embodies all of the LEMOINE Core Values. In 25 years of various roles in several different industries, I have never worked with someone who brings so much to the table. Jenn is always available to help and/or to point you in the right direction. There are many days/evenings when I have called her and apologized for intruding on her time. She never sounds frustrated, is always upbeat and is genuinely motivated to help you with whatever your needs are at the time.

Jennifer C. works hard to get it right or to find out the correct way to get it done. Her work ethic is second-to-none, working late and working hard to solve whatever problem is presented to her, whether it is a part of her actual job description or not. She is well-versed in not only her role, but the greater workings of the company and attentive to all the small things needed for LEMOINE’s success. She offers suggestions to help and doesn’t just pass things off, always wanting to know the answer herself if she can’t supply it to you (which is not often). Alejandra worked around the clock, sometimes even putting in 24-hour shifts, to make sure all staffing needs were met, even when resources were limited. She worked seven days a week, meeting tight deadlines and finding staff in areas where we had little to no presence.

Alejandra’s commitment went above and beyond expectations. She successfully staffed over 500 people across five states, including 428 people who supported 54 shelters in 3 states, providing care and support to 13,261 survivors.

Her strong work ethic, adaptability, and leadership have greatly impacted our organization. We are very grateful for her dedication and all she has done for our team.

I am nominating him for this Award of Excellence for many reasons. I could probably list every single Core Value, but I’ll start with work ethic. He is one of the most reliable employees I have ever had. He was hired on in the Memphis area which is prone to snow and ice storms, and there were a few times that I had to go to the plant because they had issues during these events. He was willing to brave the conditions and come to help me. The plant operators loved having him there because he was always willing to help them in any way that he could which just strengthened relationships. Although he is technically an equipment operator, he easily transitioned into more of a Foreman role. He is intelligent, articulate, mechanically-minded, and able to think outside the box when presented with a challenge all while keeping safety in mind.

He is an asset to our company and to me personally. I’m proud to have him on our team, and he is definitely deserving of this award.

In today’s era of rapid urbanization and heightened environmental awareness, the construction industry stands at the forefront of change. As communities seek greener alternatives and sustainable solutions, the role of contractors becomes pivotal in shaping a future where architecture harmonizes with nature. Partnering with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, we showcased our commitment to sustainable development through Lafayette’s first LEED-certified project – the ULL Student Union.

What is LEED?

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification stands as a hallmark of excellence in green building practices. Achieving this recognition signifies a dedication to energy efficiency, resource conservation, and environmental responsibility. For UL Lafayette, obtaining LEED certification for its Student Union marked a significant milestone, aligning with its vision of fostering a more sustainable campus environment.

This was an ambitious project, and we took on the challenge. Leveraging our expertise to blend innovative design with environmental consciousness. From the project’s inception, sustainability remained at the forefront of every decision, guiding the construction process towards a greener, more eco-friendly outcome.

One of the key features of the UL Lafayette Student Union is its energy-efficient design. We ensured the integration of cutting-edge technologies and building techniques to minimize energy consumption while maximizing performance. From energy-efficient lighting systems to advanced HVAC solutions, every aspect was meticulously planned to reduce the building’s carbon footprint without compromising functionality or comfort.

Moreover, the project prioritized the use of sustainable materials, sourced locally whenever possible, to reduce transportation emissions and support the regional economy. The project team’s commitment to sustainability extended beyond construction, encompassing waste management practices that minimized the project’s impact on the environment. More than 77 percent of the debris generated during the demolition work was recycled.  The recycled material amounted to more than 440 tons of metal and 11,504 tons of concrete.

Beyond its environmental benefits, the LEED-certified Student Union at UL Lafayette serves as a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in the construction industry. We partnered closely with architects, engineers, and university stakeholders to bring the vision to life, fostering a spirit of teamwork and shared purpose throughout the project.

The completion of the Student Union marked not only a physical transformation of the campus landscape but, also a symbolic shift towards a more sustainable future. As students, faculty, and visitors stepped into the vibrant, eco-friendly space, they were not only greeted by modern amenities but, also reminded of the university’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

LEMOINE’s success with the UL Lafayette Student Union exemplifies the company’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of sustainable construction. By demonstrating that green building practices can be both feasible and cost-effective, we hope to inspire others in the industry to follow suit, catalyzing a broader movement towards sustainability in construction projects nationwide.

LEMOINE Program Services Assists with Cullman City School’s Capital Improvement Plan

Cullman City Schools is one of 132 school districts in the state of Alabama. The school system has over 3,000 students in five schools. The schools are Cullman High School (Grades 9-12), Cullman Middle School (Grades 7-8), East Elementary School (Grades 2-6), West Elementary School (Grades 2-6), and Cullman City Primary School (Grades K-1). Cullman City Schools also hosts the Cullman City Head Start Program at their Primary School.

Cullman has also been ranked the second highest “micropolitan” in the nation for the past two years, according to Site Selection Magazine. As the area’s population has grown, and as technology and learning environments have evolved, the Board of Education has worked to develop a comprehensive plan to address student safety and growth within the Cullman City School System.

LEMOINE Program Services – Comprehensive Program Management Solutions:

Due to the complexity of the capital improvement plan, LEMOINE Program Services was engaged in the process to work with Lathan and Associates and all project stakeholders to provide program management services. The group began with advising and facility consulting services, creating overall program goals, schedules, and budgets. LEMOINE’s primary objective is to satisfy capital program demands, ensuring that Cullman City Schools accomplishes their mission, with full guidance and confidence every step of the way.

Phase I:

The complex, comprehensive plan includes the adjustment of the grade configuration of the school system to Pre-K – 2, 3 – 5, 6 – 8, and 9 – 12. Currently, Cullman City Schools includes 2 elementary campuses, East and West. The overall adjustment will include a dedicated pre-K school, an elementary school, an intermediate school, a middle school, and a high school. To achieve value, several of the existing school buildings are being renovated and re-used to achieve this plan.

Phase I of the project began with Cullman City Primary School and Cullman Middle School. The primary school project included the addition of a 12-classroom wing, a multipurpose building, and a cafeteria/ kitchen. This project also included the development of a second roadway exit, the conversion of the old cafeteria to additional classroom space, and the transition of all 2nd grade students in August of 2023. The middle school project includes the addition of a 16-18 classroom building which will include a new library, agriscience area, performing arts area, and administrative offices. The project also entails the removal of an existing round building and an old agriculture building, interior upgrades, and the transition of all 6th-grade students in August of 2025.

Later phases of the capital improvement plan will involve converting one of the existing primary schools into the new Cullman Intermediate School, conversion of the other primary school to a standalone pre-K program, the addition of the Career Technical Education/ STEM Wing to the High School, and other educational improvements.

As the capital improvement plan continues to unfold over the upcoming years, LEMOINE Program Services stands ready to provide industry expertise and to ensure the best use of all funds for the Cullman City Schools and the Cullman City community.
