At LEMOINE, our pursuit of excellence starts with our Brand Promise: The Right People. Each quarter, we honor team members who live out this commitment through our Awards of Excellence. These awards recognize standout individuals across our Building Construction and Disaster Services Divisions, as well as within our Corporate and Craft teams.

Nominated by their peers, this quarter’s honorees exemplify our Core Values in action. Below, we share some of the inspiring words submitted by those who work alongside them. Congratulations to all of this quarter’s recipients!

What Justin’s peers had to say:

Justin continues to live the values of Integrity and Relationships every day – these two values stand out to me among others he lives. He is committed to doing the right thing, no matter the situation. And is always focused on growing relationships the right way, building trust with everyone he comes into contact with – both internal and external. Not to mention the continued work he does in the community volunteering for many causes! He is well deserving of this honor.

Justin lives the value of Integrity – every day in everything he touches. He believes in doing things right and being transparent in every step of the process. He spends a great deal of time building trust within al relationships he has and especially in giving back to the community. He has spent so much time doing volunteer work for a long time – building handicap ramps and decks for those in need. I believe he’s done this for 7-10 years now. He also coaches youth sports programs and I have no doubt, he impacts those young people in a positive way. Justin lives Integrity and lives our Purpose – Achieve excellence while enhancing the lives of all involved. I believe he deserves this recognition!

One of the things that sets D’Alexander apart is how deeply he cares—not just about the work, but about the people doing it. He pays close attention to how we’re doing, not just what’s getting done. Whether it’s adjusting timelines to avoid burnout or checking in during tough weeks, he makes it clear that our wellness matters. He leads with empathy and intentionality, always finding a way to balance high standards with genuine compassion.

D’Alexander creates an environment where we feel safe, supported, and motivated to grow. His ability to listen, adapt, and advocate for his team is a true example of leadership in action. He’s not just a manager—he’s the kind of leader who makes people better, simply by believing in them.

Whether reviewing scopes of work or navigating complex PW amendments, he has a sharp eye for the small details that make a big difference. During the execution of the Genera PR project, D’Alexzander demonstrated outstanding leadership by taking ownership of complex deliverables and driving the team forward, even under challenging timelines and evolving project requirements. His ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders—both internal and external—ensured that the project stayed on track and delivered high-impact results. Beyond managing tasks, D’Alexzander fostered a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration across departments. He was always willing to step in, provide guidance, and share knowledge with others, helping the entire team succeed. His proactive communication and solution-driven mindset made a significant difference in the successful lift-off of the Genera PR project. For these reasons, I believe D’Alexzander exemplifies our Core Values and is highly deserving of this recognition.

I am pleased to nominate Lee Farrell for the Quarterly Award of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding contributions, unwavering dedication, and consistent excellence over the past quarter. Lee exemplifies all our Core Values, but specifically, Work Ethic. His work with Vista and the support he delivers to employees is critical to the success of our company as our ERP is the backbone for managing complex projects and multiple business units. He does this always with a smile on his face and the “want to” attitude to deliver excellent customer service. Lee sets a high standard of excellence and serves as a role model for peers. His impact is felt not only in his direct work but also in the culture of LEMOINE and morale of our entire team. Lee consistently demonstrates leadership and initiative by taking ownership of challenging projects and training and mentoring new team members along the way. For these reasons and more, I wholeheartedly recommend Lee Farrell for this recognition.

Lee exemplifies every LEMOINE core value perfectly day after day. He is an exceptional teacher and leader and is always willing to lend a hand to whoever asks. Lee’s hard work does not go unnoticed across all of LEMOINE, and I can not think of anyone more deserving.

Standing Down for Safety: Highlights from National Safety Stand-Down Week

Each year, OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down Week gives the construction industry a powerful opportunity to pause, reflect, and re-engage on the importance of preventing falls—the leading cause of fatalities on construction sites. At LEMOINE, safety isn’t just a requirement—it’s a shared value and a daily commitment. This year, our team embraced the spirit of Stand-Down Week with energy, purpose, and statewide participation.

Statewide Site Visits and Engagement

Our Safety Team traveled across Louisiana to conduct in-person Stand-Downs at several of our active project sites, including:

Shell Norco Administration Building and Multipurpose Building – Norco, LA
Acadiana Crime Laboratory – New Iberia, LA
Lafayette High School – Lafayette, LA
McNeese Student Union – Lake Charles, LA
LEM‍OINE Baton Rouge Office – Baton Rouge, LA

Each event centered around fall protection awareness and included live demonstrations, hands-on training, and meaningful discussions with our crews. These conversations focused on best practices, real-life hazards, and how each team member can take ownership of safety on their jobsite.

Raffles, Lunches, and Vendor Support

A major highlight at each location was the crew appreciation component made possible by our incredible vendor partners. Lunches were generously provided at every Stand-Down event, giving our teams a chance to gather, recharge, and connect.

In addition, raffles were held at each site, offering crew members a chance to win tools, electronics, coolers, safety gear, and more—all donated by our vendors. These giveaways not only added excitement to the events, but also helped reinforce the value we place on investing in our people and their well-being.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our vendor partners who supported this initiative. Your contributions—whether through donated items, food, or your physical presence—elevated every event and made a real impact on our teams.

Building a Culture of Safety—Together

Safety isn’t something we switch on for a single week. It’s something we build into every task, every conversation, and every decision on the jobsite. National Safety Stand-Down Week is an opportunity to recommit to that mindset—and this year’s turnout and engagement showed just how seriously our teams take that responsibility.

We’re especially proud of the participation and enthusiasm shown by our crews. Their questions, input, and real-time feedback during these events proved that safety isn’t just being taught—it’s being lived.

Moving Forward

As we wrap up another successful Safety Stand-Down Week, we’re reminded that the most important thing we build each day is the trust and protection of our people. From our field teams to our safety leaders, from our vendor partners to our leadership team—thank you for standing down with us.
