LEMOINE has been received a STEP Diamond designation by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). STEP, Safety Training and Evaluation Process, is a safety benchmarking and improvement tool founded in 1989. STEP has eveloved into a world-class safety management system that dramatically improves safety performance among participants. The designations are awarded to participating ABC member firms by measurement of safety process and policies on 25 key components. The goal of STEP and the assessment is implementation or enhancement of safety programs that reduce jobsite incidents.
Earnable designations of the program include certification, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels. LEMOINE has received a STEP certification annually since 2010 and has been certified as Diamond since 2017. ABC notes that Diamond certified companies are statistically 655% safer than BLS (Bureau of Labor Statistics) average.
