LEMOINE recently attended the spectacular Grand Opening Celebration at the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans.
The event included a formal outdoor program attended by Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser, Councilmember Joe Giarrusso, the President and Board Chair of CHNO, architects EYP, LEMOINE, healthcare providers, patients, and community members and supporters of the hospital.
Following the formal program, a beautiful float rode through the campus on Henry Clay Avenue, in grand New Orleans tradition. The celebration also included family friendly activities, refreshments, and guided tours of the newly finished hospital.

Over the course of the four year, $300 million campus transformation, 230,000 square feet of clinical care space was added, as well as a 600 space parking garage and 105,000 square feet of renovations to existing spaces. LEMOINE led the 1,400+ day construction effort, with more than 3,500 professionals working throughout the project. While expanding the hospital’s footprint by more than 50%, the construction team kept quality, safety, and excellence at the forefront while the hospital continued to provide expert care for kids without interruption. LEMOINE was honored to participate in the celebration of this monumental project that will enable Children’s Hospital of New Orleans to provide exceptional healthcare to the children of Louisiana for decades to come.
